Heritage Health, Streator, will celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care Week from Sunday, May 13, through, Saturday, May 19.
Chosen duo themes this year are “Sounds of Music” and “Celebrating Life Stories.” On May 13, Grace Community Church will offer a worship service at 2:15 p.m.; May 14, music bingo will be at 2 p.m. with refreshments; May 15, the annual mother-daughter luncheon is at 11:30 a.m. with singer Alyssa Cruz to entertain; May 16, Trinity Lutheran Church will offer worship service at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Christine Stapleton will perform a 1960s musical. Also, May 16, staff will be treated to doughnuts. And on May 17, residents will be sharing their life stories at 9:45 a.m. and at 2 p.m. Sis Pickard will entertain on piano and lead a singalong of old-time favorites. May 18, Rich Selquist will entertain on guitar at 9:45 a.m. and at 1:45 p.m. “The Sound of Music” movie will be shown with popcorn served.
An employee recognition cookout will be May 18. On May 19, John Hammer will entertain on drums at 1:45 p.m.
Daily door prizes will be awarded to staff and residents. The public is invited.
