A nine-woman, three-man jury was chosen Monday for the trial of an Ottawa man charged with failing to register as a sex offender.
Patrick G. Foster, 56, is charged with telling Ottawa police his address had not changed, when it had. As a sex offender, Foster has to register his address with police. The jury was seated Monday, with testimony to begin Tuesday. Foster is represented by the public defender.
Foster was convicted of sexually exploiting a child in 2014 in Ottawa.
Foster is also charged with burglarizing Ottawa's First United Methodist Church, 100 W. Jefferson St., in October 2017. That charge remains pending. Foster has been in the county jail, in lieu of $5,000 cash bond, since November.
