STREATOR — Clarence “Pokey” Burow Jr., 64, of Streator, passed away at 4:18 a.m. Monday, July 9, at his residence.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Hagi & Baker Funeral Home. There will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Celebration of his life will be at a later date. Contact the family for details.
He was born July 20, 1953, in Chicago, to Clarence G. and Elenore Burow Sr. He was formerly married to the former Laura M. Chattin.
He is survived by his children, Jay M. Burow, of Herscher, Toby J. (Kathi) Burow, of Custer Park, and Nikki R. (Cory) Dedic, of Streator; grandchildren, Jake, Isabella, Jimmy, Shawn, Lilly, Hanna and Bentley; and a brother, Larry (Barb) Burow, of Bridgeview.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a half-brother, Rocky Burow; and a half-sister, Sheila Burow.
He retired as a supervisor for Mearsk Equipment Company in Elwood.
He had belonged to the Boy Scouts as a child and had been a member of the Moose Lodge.
He loved riding his motorcycle and camping.
