To the Editor:
How sad is it that the trauma surgeons, who are sometimes literally up to their ankles in blood, treating gun shot victims, have to be the ones to stand up to the NRA instead of the weak-kneed, conscience-lacking, spineless jellyfish politicians who we elect to look out for our best interests. Everytime there's another "slaughter," it's the same old story. All kinds of chest-thumping, angry rhetoric and then nothing gets done. Can we at least agree that there's too many guns out there, that they are too easy to obtain and the NRA has way too much power. Those in office who won't do anything because they might lose a vote or financial backing have the blood of these victims on their hands as far as I'm concerned. Money, greed and power control this country and with a "fake" President leading us I don't see that changing any time soon.
