MINONK — The Fieldcrest Lady Knights edged the Flanagan-Cornell Lady Falcons 33-30 in a Heart of Illinois Conference contest Thursday night.
Addie Goodrich made a shot with 29 seconds left to give Fieldcrest a 31-30 advantage, and Madi Hock later knocked down a pair of free throws with three ticks to go to extend the lead.
Hock scored a dozen points to pace the Lady Knights (7-2 overall, 3-1 HOIC). Samantha Vazquez contributed seven points.
Heather Beltese had four 3-pointers for Flanagan-Cornell. Jadyn Mitchell was held to four points.
Midland 43, Marquette 37
At Bader Gym, the Lady Crusaders were defeated by the Timberwolves in a Tri-County Conference game.
Josie Eager had nine points for Marquette, while Mallory Martini and Maggie Hettel had eight apiece.
Seneca 55, DePue 4
At DePue, the Lady Irish (7-2, 3-0) were up 29-0 after one quarter, 41-0 at the half and 52-3 through three periods of play during their beating of the Lady Giants in a TCC game.
Abriana Jashari scored 16 points to lead Seneca.
Sandwich 50, Coal City 41
At Coal City, the Lady Indians trailed by 13 points (32-19) at the intermission before embarking on a 24-0 run — including 18-0 during the third period — to rally to defeat the Lady Coalers in an Interstate Eight Conference battle.
Jaylynn Vana scored 20 points to lead Sandwich (9-0, 4-0).
Newark 54, LaMoille-Ohio 24
At LaMoille, the Lady Norsemen (7-3, 2-0) beat the Lady Lions in a Little Ten Conference game.
Meggie Scott scored 23 points, dished out seven assists, swiped seven steals and had six rebounds to lead Newark. Alyssa Gittins posted a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

At Dettore's Town Lanes, the Pirates were edged by the Maple Leads in a Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference meet.
Vinnie Parise (225 high game) and Zander Parise (251) rolled 612 and 609 series, respectively, for Ottawa.

At Kingman Gym in Ottawa, Zoe Harris popped in 11 points, six of them in the fourth quarter when Ottawa rallied but fell short. Kaneland, which was led by Olivia Sheehan's 12 points, outscored the hosts 16-4 in the third period to take control, up 33-14 heading to the fourth.

At Oglesby, the Lady Eagles were defeated by Kankakee Community College in a nonconference matchup.
Lexi Marx had 14 points for IVCC. Marquette Academy graduate Maddie Dougherty had 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. Earlville High School alumna Emily Cook tallied two points. Seneca High School product Paige Hacker scored six points for Kankakee.
