A West Coast woman was jailed this week after state police said they found a large amount of marijuana in her vehicle in Utica.
Meghan R. Tighe, 35, Cobb, Calif., is charged with possessing, with intent to deliver, 80 pounds of marijuana and 94 marijuana vape cartridges. Police said they encountered Tighe at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday at a gas station at Interstate 80 and Route 178, became suspicious and used a drug detecting dog, which led to the marijuana.
Tighe, who is represented by the public defender, needs $200,000 cash to make bond. The charge against Tighe carries a mandatory prison term.
