MINONK — The host Fieldcrest Knights edged the El Paso-Gridley Titans in overtime, 59-57, in a Heart of Illinois Conference boys basketball contest Friday night.
Jaxon Cusac-McKay scored 28 points to lead Fieldcrest. Corey Land added 10 points and Derek May nine rebounds in the Knights' HOIC rivalry win.
Flanagan-Cornell 58, Olympia 43
At Flanagan, the Falcons beat the Spartans in a nonconference game.
Jeremy Durdan scored 22 points to lead the way as Flanagan-Cornell led 30-9 after one quarter and 41-18 at the half. Isaac Weber added a dozen points for the Falcons.
Serena 64, Hiawatha 26
At Kirkland, the Huskers beat the Hawks in a Little Ten Conference game.
Serena — which went 26-of-42 from the field, including 7-for-15 from 3-point range — was up 18-0 after one quarter, 39-7 at the half and 62-21 through three periods.
Jakob Setchell scored 24 points, which included four 3-pointers, grabbed five rebounds and swiped six steals to lead the Huskers.
Sandwich 59, Reed-Custer 47
At Braidwood, Jimmy Braddish scored 17 points to lead the Indians (10-7) to the Interstate Eight Conference win over the Comets. Jimmy Roop added 10 points.
Sophomore boys basketball
Marquette 59, DePue 30
At DePue, the hosts had a 9-5 lead after one quarter, but the Crusaders outscored them 17-3 in the second, getting eight points each from Victor Mullen and Nick Melvin.
Mullen finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Melvin ended up with 15 and Grant Waldron 14 for the Cru. Anthony Tyson netted eight points to pace the Little Giants.
