On Friday, a rural Streator man was ordered to prison for selling heroin.
Alexander T. King, 27, pleaded guilty to twice selling fentanyl-laced heroin in January 2018 to a police informant. Two other drug charges and one aggravated battery charge were dismissed as part of his agreement with prosecutors. King was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined $1,100. He could parole in several years.
The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team and Streator police arrested King in June in Streator.
Prosecutor Jason Goode noted King has substance abuse problems. King has been in prison before.
