Police received a report Monday morning of a possible break-in in the 600 block of West Bridge Street. Officers investigated and determined the report was unfounded.
A vending machine was vandalized about 3:45 a.m. Monday at 609 N. Everett St.. The matter is under investigation.
Richard R. Williams, 46, rural Ottawa, was arrested Friday in the 900 block of Canal Street on a complaint he trespassed on state-supported property. He was taken to the county jail.
Cody J. Richardson, 26, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday in the 800 block of Columbus Street on complaints of DUI and driving without headlights. He posted bond.
James D. Thomas III, 30, Streator, was cited Friday afternoon at Columbus Street and Oakridge Drive on complaints of reckless driving, improper lane use, no proof of insurance of using a cell phone while driving. Thomas' car had gone into a ditch and rolled onto its side. He was given a court date.
Ottawa firefighters responded at 8:49 p.m. Sunday to 227 Nebraska St. for a report of a natural gas odor outdoors. They found the odor was from the routine venting of a gas meter and a clothes dryer vent.
Ottawa firefighters responded at 8:55 p.m. Sunday to 900 Paul St. for a fire alarm, which was caused by a person smoking.
Streator firefighters responded at 10:01 a.m. Monday to 609 N. Everett St. for a fire alarm, which was set off by cooking.
