Despite snowy weather making travel difficult, Penguin Plunge at Heritage Harbor in Ottawa still went on as popular as ever. The unofficial amount of donations raised this year comes out to about $185,000, which exceeds the goal by about $10,000. The event is Make-A-Wish Illinois' largest external fundraiser.

After the jump into the freezing water, participants held on to one another for support and warmth.
The costumes and attire of some of the plungers were as entertaining as the jumps themselves.
Water rescue was on hand to help those from the harbor after the jumps.
