Ottawa

Ryanne A. Lamb, 33, homeless, was arrested Saturday in the 500 block of East Etna Road on a felony complaint of obstructing justice and two La Salle County failure to appear in court warrants for charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving while license suspended. Lamb was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Michael J. Angelico, 69, Ottawa, was arrested Friday in the 100 block of West Lafayette Street on a La Salle County warrant for an aggravated battery charge. Angelico was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Kevin Vanarsdell, 38, Ottawa, was arrested Friday at Washington Square on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal damage to property charge. Vanarsdell was taken to La Salle County Jail.

George Burson, 45, Peru, was arrested Friday in the 1300 block of La Salle Street on a La Salle County warrant for traffic offenses. Burson was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Brody T. Frig, 22, Ottawa, was cited Friday at State and Van Buren streets on complaints of driving while license suspended and no rear registration. Frig was released with a court date.

Streator

Police received a report at 6:40 a.m. Friday that a vehicle was entered and change taken in the 500 block of Coal Street.

Police received a report at about 9:15 a.m. Friday that a vehicle was entered and change and a speaker were taken in the 500 block of South Monroe Street.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested at about 11:10 a.m. Friday at North Vermillion and East Hickory streets on a La Salle County juvenile warrant; he was taken to the detention home.

Police responded to a report of a dog bite at about 4:45 p.m. Friday at OSF Center for Health - Streator.

Police received a report at about 10 a.m. Saturday that a camper, truck and building were spray-painted at a business in the 1400 block of North Bloomington Street.

Police received a report at about 7:35 p.m. Saturday that a vehicle window was damaged.

Police received a hit-and-run report at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East Main Street.

La Salle County

Josue Bustos, 36, of La Salle, was arrested at about 1:10 a.m. Friday on East Third Road at North 33rd Road in Dimmick Township on complaints of DUI, improper lane usage, and driving in the wrong lane. A passenger, Jorge Felipe-Dominguez, 31, of La Salle, also was arrested on complaints of obstructing identification,, illegal transportation of alcohol and no seat belt. Both were issued notices to appear.

Joseph W. Wheaton, 27, of Streator, was arrested at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for felony criminal damage to property. He was taken to the county jail.

Fire calls

Streator firefighters responded at 7:11 p.m. Friday to a report of a gas odor at 1006 N. Vermillion St.; they found nothing.

Streator firefighters responded at 12:46 p.m. Saturday to an illegal burn at 812 Hoyne St.; firefighters extinguished the fire and issued a warning.

Streator firefighters responded to a three-vehicle crash with injuries at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at Bloomington and Morrell streets.

Streator firefighters responded at 2:06 p.m. Sunday to an illegal burn at 112 S. Third Ave.; the resident extinguished the fire.
