Polka Mass and children's activities planned Sept. 22 in Jordan block

Ottawa First and Father David Kipfer will offer an outdoor Polka Mass at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Jordan block on Main Street in downtown Ottawa, between La Salle and Columbus streets. The Polka Mass-ters, of Joliet, will perform authentic polka music. Following the Mass, Ottawa First will provide a free breakfast. Bloody marys will be available for purchase.

Later that day, from noon to 3 p.m., a host of children's activities are planned at the Jordan block. A variety of free treats will be available.

The event, sponsored by Ottawa First and the Knights of Columbus, is free to the public.
