PHOTOS: Streator holiday parade rolls on despite rain

Rain and electrical issues postponed the annual City Park lightup to Saturday, Dec. 7, but the wet conditions didn't stop the parade and spectators from lining Main Street.

The Grinch came prepared for the rain with an umbrella as he rides the Danchris Nursery float in the Keeping Christmas Close to Home lighted parade Saturday in downtown Streator. While Santa Claus met with children Saturday afternoon at the Streator Post Office, the Grinch spent the day at Danchris Nursery taking photos with families and children.
