Police blotter 3-23-20

Dustin L. Jones, 33, Marseilles, was cited Friday in the 400 block of West Norris Drive on complaints of driving while license suspended and no insurance. Jones was released with a court date.

Denise B. Flint, 47, Godley, was cited Friday at Norris Drive and Chestnut Street on complaints of driving while license revoked and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Flint was released with a court date.

Antwain R. Booker, 30, homeless, was arrested in the 900 block of Canal Street on a complaint of criminal trespass to state-supported property. Booker was released with a court date.


Police responded at 11:45 a.m. Sunday to the 2000 block of Eastwood Avenue for a report of a mailbox being damaged at some point in the night.

Police responded at 3:55 p.m. Sunday to the 400 block of South Illinois Street for a report of a vehicle being struck while parked in front of a residence.

Police responded at 1:09 a.m. Monday to the 300 block of La Salle Street for a report of a window being broken at some point in the night.

La Salle County

La Salle County deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at North 30th and East 28th Roads in Manlius Township. Doris Burke, 34, Ottawa was eastbound on North 30th Road and lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions, police said. Her vehicle entered the south side ditched and crossed over East 28th Road before entering the east side ditch of East 28th Road. Burke was treated and released by Seneca EMS. No citations were issued.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded at 2:35 a.m. Saturday to 906 Canal St. for an alarm set off while cooking.
